Window Dreamin’

Snapshot_357.png

Looking out by my window
Thinking about you all the time
Wish you were here with me
Right here by my side

Something about the way my son always looks forlornly out the window during the long Michigan winter reminds me of one waiting for a long lost lover to return home, or me gazing at the clock on said weekends wishing it would fast forward to Monday morning when I can relieve us and send him to school. Jokes, aside, I decided to channel that feeling into an outfit that is both demure, but sexy, growing in heat as layers are removed, as one might be shy at first, not wanting to appear overly eager, but you really are!

Let me tell you something, as soon as the weather grew cold I’ve been searching for something I could pair with my strapless and strappy tops and dresses so that I could extend them into my winter wardrobe without feeling like I’d be silly and shivering in my attempts to show off.  You know that feeling? When you really love something, but know you would look like a fool wearing it because it’s not weather appropriate?  I was pretty much chair dancing when The Little Black Dress released this lace shrug, and not only released it, but released it as part of the basics line for only 59 lindens! A great basic it is too!  It’s somehow modest and sexy, between the modest length and collar, yet the sheerness and open front held together with a color change gem brooch to match most outfits.

Getting Lucky or Got Lucky?

I have to admit that this particular mesh pencil skirt was a group gift, and not from the lucky boards at Caboodle.  The group gift version comes in black, red, and white.  However, if you like this original mesh pencil skirt, which I do, there are a few pastel versions that cycle through Caboodle’s several lucky letter boards, which are available for group members.  The Caboodle group is 25 lindens to join, and along with the lucky boards, there are still several group gifts set out.

Who Doesn’t Need Versatile Lingerie?

Just this past week I rather happily stumbled onto a delightful new to me shop named MMC.  I blogged one of their 1 linden group gifts in The Guard Your Gacha post the other day.  I loved the dollarbies so much that I returned to fully explore the store some more.  That’s when I noticed a pile of black pumpkins on one side of the VIP room.  Sauntering over, I noticed that they were from a past Halloween hunt and the items are for sale for only 20 lindens. It’s actually a full bodysuit with mid-calf pants trimmed in lace, but with my layers HUD I decided to model it as a bustier, adding that sexy somthin’ somethin’ when I slip out of the lace shrug. There are appliers for Omega, Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza included. The lace applique detail is stunning, and there’s a second version in sheer included. The MMC group is FREE to join, and there is not only several dollarbie gifts, but 10 hunt pumpkins for 20 lindens, as well as 75 linden promos all in the VIP room.  I would call it a must-see for all quality deal hunters.

I had literally forgotten that I had drooled over Poeme’s “Pin Up Stockings” the first time I saw them, until I happened to notice that they’d been moved to the top of the stairs leading up to the lucky boards, midnight madness, and news group gifts; which we all know are my favorite places to haunt. There are 3 shades of the perfectly back-seamed thigh-high stockings, in dark, opaque, and sheer blacks.  Omega Appier and system layers are included.  This fatpack will cost you only 99 lindens, Missy Math dropping that to 33 lindens a pair, as I know I will use them all, and often!

Makeup Reflecting the Mood

I had decided to stick with the idea of sexily modest in my make up choices.  On top of the basics, I added choices from Dulce Secrets, an eyeshadow I had purchased, along with blush and lipstick from that huge box of soon to be replaced goodies at The Free Dove.  From the makeup box in the “Dulce Secrets 2017 Free Dove Collection” I am wearing “::DS:: Cherry Cute Blush” and “::DS:: Creme Kissable Lips Tattoo.”  From the Dulce Secrets mainstore, I purchased my  “::DS:: Superstitious Divinity Eyeshadow” in fatpack with 6 total eyeshadows for 55 lindens.  The Divinity Eyeshadow comes in standard avatar tattoo, Catwa, Omega, and Lelutka appliers.  You’ll need The Free Dove group tag to grab the huge box from Dulce Secrets located there, but The Free Dove group is FREE to join!
